You are Mickey Mouse, a cartoon character beloved by children across the world. You live a utopian life of comfort amongst the company of your friends until one fateful day where you wake to find the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse suspiciously silent. You are unable to find any of your friends nearby despite persistently searching for them. Having searched thoroughly, you have reasonably determined that you have become the sole living individual of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse except your robot sidekick Toodles. You are faced with the choice to either continue the show with Toodles with similar popularity as before, or permanently discontinue your show and fade into obscurity. If you continue the show, you would continue to entertain and instil life values upon the children who view the show, like how you used to prior to the disappearance of your friends.

For the purpose of this debate, "cut-off culture" refers to the social phenomenon of figuratively cutting people out of one's life. Anyone from acquaintances to significant figures which may include, but are not limited to, close friends and family members are capable of being cut-off from one's life. This act is most commonly, though not exclusively, done at or after the point of conflict/tension within a relationship.
